Green Earth Program - How we do our part for the environment
Doing our part for the environment, one bag at a time.
At The Man Bag Co. , we are strong environmental advocates. As such, we came up with an initiative called the Green Earth Program.
Under this program, we aim to make our products and entire business operation as environmentally friendly as possible, to minimize any damage or harmful effects to the environment. We also work with suppliers and partners who believe in the same goal.
So how do we do it?
Materials & Packaging
The materials used in our bags are sourced from environmentally conscious suppliers, and we try our best to make use of recycled materials/fabric where possible.
Our Sling And Daypack bags for example, are partly made from recycled plastic bottles.
Our new polymer packaging (the plastic that your bag comes in) - is now 100% made from recycled plastic. So instead of throwing it away, you can now recycle it! :)
Paperless Business Operations
Our business operations are almost entirely digital, so that we use as little paper as possible. We print paper only when we absolutely have to.
What is a Carbon Offset?
Carbon offset is a practical and effective way of reducing the effects of climate change by funding renewable energy, forestry, or clean water projects.
These projects reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gas emissions to compensate for the emissions made elsewhere, like the ones created when we ship online orders.
We are part of a carbon-neutral program, along with other brands.
Under the EcoCart program, our supply chain partner is funding the offsetting of 500 tons of carbon to reduce a portion of our shipment emissions in 2022.
Our logistics partner will help us fund rainforest conservation projects in Brazil and Sierra Leone, that counteracts our negative environmental impact when we ship our items.
Rainforest carbon offsetting is a very cost effective way of removing carbon. They absorb vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the Earth's atmosphere, which helps in mitigating climate change.
We urge everyone to care for our planet.
